If you travel regularly from any of Streatham's railway stations, Streatham Action Transport Group would like to know about your recent experience.
Please fill in our via the below link: it should take no more than 5 minutes.
If you know anyone else who travels from the Streatham stations, please forward the link to them as well. The survey will be open until the end of October.
The results from the survey will go in to a report on Streatham's train service that we will be preparing for the Department for Transport (DfT) and the service operator, GTR, in November, together with data that we already have on the performance of the train service over the last year.
This is a good time to be making our voices heard: two recent events have moved the railways up the political agenda:
1 - the Office of Rail and Road (ORR) has just reported on the poor quality of the national train service over the last year - the worst punctuality since 2006, with 14% of trains failing to meet punctuality targets - saying that passengers were "badly treated" and mentioning a lack of "responsibility and accountability".
2 - the Secretary of State for Transport has just announced a comprehensive review of the rail sector, looking particularly at getting the infrastructure manager (Network Rail) and the train operators (in our case GTR) to work better together and also at improving the structure of the industry so that it can cope better with increasing demand. Changes would come in as soon as 2020.
The more responses we get to our survey, the better the chance we have of influencing DfT and GTR to improve Streatham's train services. So
Thank you,
