Palace Road Nature Garden Summer Fete

<p>Come and enjoy the Palace Road Nature Garden Fete. The Nature Garden is one of Streatham’s hidden gems, carefully maintained by a few dedicated volunteers, and The Friends of Hillside Gardens Park, which is nearby. Once the grounds of a large Victorian House at 36 Palace Road, it is now a biodiverse nature garden with secret paths, wildflower meadows, woodland areas, fruit trees, pond, and a spectacular new hand painted mural which was unveiled by Levi Roots in August 2014.

Streatham's Got Talent

<p>Calling all singers, dancers comedians, musicians, magicians what ever your skill we want to see you!!! There is so much great talent in Streatham, why not enter our competition and show yourself off. Heats will be held at your school or place of training with the finals during the Festival.<br /> Trophies for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place. <p>This will be a fabulous opportunity to learn how to preserve your skin and hair; pick up valuable hair care, skin care and wellness tips, sample and buy quality professional natural products, view demos and receive free beauty treatments, socialise, have lots of fun.<br /> So mark your diaries and come along to this year festival and Share My Haven.</p>

Design Africa: The art of head wrapping!

<p>Head scarves and wraps can be a beautiful, stylish and creative accessory for any occasion! They are also a quick and easy way to transform your look or accessorize an outfit! In this workshop, you will learn the basic skills and techniques of head wrapping. Using African fabrics, you will also learn the significance of different types of fabrics, symbols, the energy of colour choices, patterns and various head wrap styles. Each attendee will leave with their very own head wrap!</p>

'merica Rocks!

<p>A Folk Rock 'n Rave night for a great cause in a pub transformed into a Louisiana Bayou.<br /> Raising money for Music4Children, and celebrating the launch of The Streatham Festival 2015. Open jam session happening in the "Bayou" from 3-7, so bring your banjo (or any other instrument). Followed by some great acts to get you jumping.<br /> **Southern Style BBQ and Jam Session in the White Lion stables courtyard from 3pm**<br /> **America theme fancy dress (Beauty Pageant, Hill-billy, TopGun..)**<br />

The Original Prints at Art23

<p>Curated by Shiroma Ratne<br /> “The Original Prints” will showcase contemporary prints made by artists/printmakers who are established in their profession. The show will represent a diverse mix of printmaking techniques and styles. Invited artists/printmakers will come together to show their diverse and creative practice under one roof during Streatham Art Festival this summer.</p>

Painting Exhibition

<p>Vale Artists again present their open air art exhibition on the railings of The Rookery. Paintings are in all media and all styles. All the pictures are originals and for sale at more than reasonable prices. Each one is unique, a one off.<br /> Vale Artists meet monthly, on a Wednesday morning. New members, of all abilities are always welcome. Please speak to a steward for more details.<br /> We exhibit at this venue often at week-ends during the summer, so pop along anytime you see us and say "Hello"</p>
