Psychesoma presents Ebony

Join us for an experimental afternoon of art, dance, song, film and the written word. In creating Ebony, PsycheSoma started with the question 'What is poetry?' Does it have to be the written word or can it be music, dance and art? Does transforming a poem into other art forms mean it is no longer a poem?
Poetry has many layers and when created, transformed and performed by those who truly love it, it can touch not only your mind but also your heart and soul.

For the duration of the festival the High Road will become an inside/outside art gallery showing a variety of art utilising shop windows, local spaces, and eatery walls kindly donated for the weekend by local businesses. In this exciting artist led event returning for a second year, look out for unexpected additions to shop window displays on your daily travels, or follow the art trail on a journey of discovery. A map of the full trail will be available at participating venues.

Where do novelists get their ideas from?

The most common question we’re asked – how on earth does the whole, detailed, complex world of character, location, plot and subplot, arrive in your mind? Prizewinning local author, Bobbie Darbyshire, will reveal how this happens, from initial spark to realisation on the page. Her three gripping novels are ‘Oz’, ‘Love, Revenge & Buttered Scones’ and ‘Truth Games’. Find her on Facebook, follow her @BobbieDar, check out her Amazon page
