Introduction to Researching Archives

Are you unsure what exactly an archive is? Would you like to know more about how to use the archive? And, how can archives support your research? If you answered yes to any of these questions then this workshop is for you. Learn from our Collections team as they share the tips and tricks of the trade that will make it easier for you to locate what you want and gain a better understanding of the world of archives.

Individuals £7, £5 concessions

Woodland Activity Day

The Woodland Day concentrates on attracting local families of all ages from all communities and is partially funded so that we can offer ‘at cost or less’ activites with  fund rasing activites for the Common and Rookery. 

Activities start at 10am and finish at 4pm  Each session is between 30 – 45 minutes.

InStreatham Business Awards

The winners of Streatham Business Awards 2016 will be announced at a Gala Dinner on Tuesday March 8th at Hideaway. 

  • Book now and you'll get a 3 course meal and a glass of bubbly for just £11.97 per guest. Prices go up on February 15th.
  • Tickets are only available in groups of 4’s or 2’s (and the pairs are limited).

British Light Music at The British Home

The British Home is delighted to welcome the fabulous Mark Fitz-Gerald Orchestra who will be holding a fundraising concert here in our very own Concert Hall at the Home. The performance will be conducted by Mark Fitz-Gerald with a solo piano performance by Stephen Dickinson. One of the pieces played will be the very haunting and memorable Warsaw Concerto by Richard Adinsell written for the 1941 British film Dangerous Moonlight. Tickets are only £7.00 and concessions are £5.00 to include a light refreshment.
