Did you know that six major changes to the current benefits system have kicked in this month? These include a benefits cap, the “bedroom tax” limit on housing benefit, introduction of Universal Credit and the replacement of Disability Living Allowance, Council Tax Benefit and Community Care Grants and Crisis Loans.

Community chest funding allocated

Streatham-based makers are being sought to take part in an exciting new event next month. Made in Streatham, a creative showcase for designer-maker craft work, will take place on Sunday 21 April, 11am-4pm at Serendipity Arts and Crafts Tea Room on Streatham High Road (the former Native Hop site across from Streatham Rail Station).
