STREATHAM ACTION AGM - 5 DEC

Invitation for all residents, friends and supporters: Streatham Action will be holding its All Change AGM Event on Thursday 5 December, 7pm at The Woodlawns Centre. Join us to find out more about our work and help us to shape plans for 2014. There will also be the opportunity to get involved by becoming a committee member.

OLD DAIRY COWS GO WILD IN STREATHAM!

Have you spotted any old dairy cows grazing in Streatham?

Bellway Homes has let three lifesize acrylic cows out to graze at local organisations in Streatham as part of their ‘Design a Cow Hide cowpetition’, highlighting development works on the Valley Road Old Dairy Crest site, which will provide a collection of contemporary two bedroom apartments and four bedroom houses.

Service of Remembrance

 

With over 60 wreaths laid and many local organisations represented, Streatham's open air service of remembrance is the largest in Lambeth.  

The service is truly multi-cultural and inter-denominational with those of all religions (and none) and many cultures represented.

If you want to remember those who died, pay your respects to those who fought at home and abroad and honour those who survived join us at 10.30am on Sunday 10th November at Streatham War Memorial on the corner of the Streatham High Road and Streatham Common North Side.

Community Chest Grants Autumn 2013

Community Chest Grant Fund - Autumn/Winter 2013-14

Following on from a very successful Community Chest fund project last spring, Streatham Action is again seeking applications for small grants from the local community. Funding is available for projects in Streatham that will help to:

•   improve the quality of life for local people; foster engagement and inclusion in community life

•   encourage partnerships between community groups or revitalize existing groups

•   contribute in a meaningful way towards the regeneration of Streatham.
