PUBLIC MEETING - SAFER VALLEY ROAD

Speeding on Valley Road is commonplace, as is road rage, pollution caused by idling engines and increasingly heavy traffic. The speed limit is already 20 mph but it is not enforced and speed bumps have done little to remedy the issue.  The congestion appears to have been made worse by making side roads one way.  But I wonder, is there an alternative? 

Local councillors do not feel they have had the mandate from local residents to make changes.  

Streatham Action Annual General Meeting

The Annual General Meeting of Streatham Action shall be held at 7:15 pm on

Thursday 31st January 2019 at the Streatham Space Project. 

Everyone with an interest in Streatham is encouraged to attend. Membership of Streatham Action is open to any individual, organisation or business with an interest in Streatham an in furthering Streatham Actions' objectives.  We would like to hear your views, but please be aware that space will be limited on a first come, first served basis.

The meeting is expected to last for about two hours.

Streatham Rookery Christmas Fair & Market

<p>This Sunday 9th Dec is the annual Rookery Christmas Fair and Market - at the top of Streatham Common. Open from 11.30am - 4.30pm with over 40 gift stalls, hot food, mulled wine and our onsite brewers Inkspot, who will be providing beers and ales.</p> <p>Come and toast a marshmallow, visit Santa in his grotto at the bottom of the garden, listen to live music at our buskers corner or do some arts and crafts in the Big Top Cafe.</p> <p>A great day for everyone.</p> <p>https://www.sccoop.org.uk/</p>

Remembrance Sunday 2018 - Streatham Civic Service of Remembrance

The first world war ended 100 years ago. If you wish to remember those who died, pay your respects to those who fought and honour those who survived, then come to the Service of Remembrance at Streatham War Memorial on the corner of the High Road and Streatham Common North Side at 10.30 on Sunday 11th November 2018. 

As in previous years, a wide variety of local community groups have been invited to attend.
